Himachal Pradesh Technical University is going to conduct HPCET (Himachal Pradesh Combined Entrance Test) for admitting the students for Under graduation as well as various post graduation programs such as B.Tech, MCA, MBA and B.Pharmacy and so on. Candidates who want get admission in various UG/PG Courses in Himachal Pradesh State, have to participate in HPCET Entrance Test. HPCET for academic year 2019-20 is likely to be held in the month of May, 2019.
HPCET 2019: Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test:
The Himachal Pradesh technical university (HPTU) conduct the Common Entrance Test is know as CET. This university conduct a common entrance test in order to provide admission in undergraduate and post graduate programmes such as B.Tech, MCA, MBA, and B. Pharm, etc. Candidates who want to pursue these courses will have to appear in HPCET.
The HPCET Online Application Form 2019 will be available in March month (Tentatively) at official website of HPTU i.e. www.himtu.ac.in. Candidates who are going to apply for B.Tech/M.Tech & Other courses must fill the online application and qualify this entrance exam.

Eligibility Criteria For HPCET 2019-20:
Check course wise eligibility criteria details for HPCET 2019 Entrance Exam for following courses:
- For B.Tech:
Candidate must passed/ appeared in 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized university with mathematics or physics as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects such as chemistry/ biology/ biotechnology/ technical vocational subjects securing at least 45% marks for general category and 40% for the reserved category in the above subjects taken together.
- For M.Tech:
Candidate must pass/ appeared in bachelor’s degree (B.E/ B.Tech) in relevant branch of engineering/ technology from a recognized university securing at least 50% marks for general category and 45% marks for reserved category at the qualifying examination.
- For M.Pharmacy:
Candidate must pass/ appeared in Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy or equivalent from a recognized university securing at least 50% marks for general category and 45% marks for reserved category at the qualifying examination.
- For MBA:
Candidate must hold the minimum 3 years bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university at least 50% marks for general category and 45% marks for reserved category at the qualifying examination.
- For MCA:
Minimum 3 years bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized university and mathematics at 10+2 or at degree level securing at least 50% marks for general category and 45% marks for reserved category at the qualifying examination.
- For B.Pharmacy (Direct Entry):
Candidate must pass/ appeared at 10+2 examination from a recognized board/ along with mathematics and physics as compulsory subjects along with one of the chemistry/ biotechnology/ biology/ technical vocational subjects securing at least 45% marks for general category and 40% marks for reserved category n the above subjects taken together.
- B.Pharmacy (Ayurveda):
Candidate must pass/ appeared 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board or university with physics, chemistry and biology as compulsory subjects at least 45% marks for general category and 40% marks for reserved category n the above subjects taken together.

HPCET 2019 exam pattern:
Check the Exam Pattern Scheme for HPCET 2019-20 Entrance Test. The exam pattern is as follows:
- Exam Mode: Written Test/ Offline mode (pen – paper mode).
- Questions Type: multiple choice questions.
- Marks: 2 marks for each correct question and 0.5 marks for each wrong question.
Note: the question paper for B.Pharmacy, B.Tech and B.Pharmacy (Ayurveda) courses will be common. However candidates going for mathematics, physics and chemistry will be eligible for admission to B.Tech or B.Pharmacy courses. Candidate who will attempt physics, chemistry and biology will be eligible for admission to B.Pharmacy or B.Pharmacy (Ayurveda).

How to Apply:
- Visit the official website i.e. himtu.ac.in
- Now click on the “Admission” tab, showing at left side bar
- Thereafter click on the online application form
- Click on the link according to your choice and eligibility
- Candidate must read the complete guidelines carefully.
- Click on the “register” tab
- Now enter your username and Enter the password
- Attach all the necessary documents to the form
- Click on submit
- Also pay the HPCET registration fees.
- Candidates take a print out of the application form for future reference.
